Missing Not Forgotten: Keeping Hope Alive for Every Missing Child |
A Community's Commitment to Bringing Children Home |
When a child disappears, every moment counts.
As public attention wanes, many families are left in a relentless search, clinging to hope for a breakthrough.
Missing Not Forgotten, initiated by the Jordan Trotman Foundation, is dedicated to keeping the stories of missing children in the public eye.
Each year, thousands of children vanish across the United States.
This initiative bridges the gap between law enforcement and community engagement, ensuring these cases remain active and visible.
Through efforts like the Link2Hope Relay and shareable case cards, volunteers work tirelessly to keep missing children's cases prominent both online and within local communities.
Supporter badges and educational resources provided by the platform empower schools, local organizations, and individuals to take meaningful action.
Since its inception, these concerted efforts have contributed to the reunion of over 1,200 children with their families and have offered support to thousands more still searching.
One simple act—like sharing a post—can sustain hope and make a tangible difference.
In May 2025, during National Missing Children's Day, the Office on Trafficking in Persons highlighted the critical role of community involvement in locating missing children and preventing exploitation.
They emphasized that no single organization can tackle this challenge alone, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts like those championed by Missing Not Forgotten.
Additionally, in May 2024, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) celebrated its 40th anniversary at CrimeCon in Nashville, Tennessee.
This event brought together enthusiasts, investigators, and advocates dedicated to addressing true crime and mystery, further amplifying the mission to protect children and support affected families.
These initiatives, alongside Missing Not Forgotten, exemplify a collective commitment to ensuring that every missing child is remembered and that hope remains alive.
By staying informed and engaged, communities can play a pivotal role in bringing missing children home. |
